D-Day June 6, 1944 The landing craft slowly approached the shores of Utah beach. The morning fog dissipated, revealing the yellow sands of the beach, decorated by Czech hedgehogs designed to stop tanks advancing. He looked around. By his sides, his buddies prayed for their safety, while some handed him extra rounds for his rifle. They're all anxious, as this battle will determine the faith of France and with it, the rest of the world. Within minutes, the landing crafts hits the shore. The ramp slammed opened. The invasion of Normandy has begun. 21 thousand men, despite knowing the risks, charged forwards, with strength as if it was t he last battle they will fight.
