Hari Raya. A glorious celebration for our Islamic friends. A holiday for others.
It was quite a rare sight to see friends wearing different traditional clothing after getting used to seeing them in boring ol' uniforms. Frankly, it felt quite weird.
Me being a boring person didn't wear anything special :P.
And the moment where Malaysian culture truly shines is when you see a Chinese student wearing Malay traditional clothes and vice versa. We've truly come thus far to witness such scene when 60 years ago we were all separated under British rule.
An announcement called for all students and teachers into the hall. A lot were people were into the mood, wearing an assortment of traditional clothing, be it from Malay or Indian to Chinese, then there are the more eccentric ones that I would not mention here. The teachers too were dressed as such.
Malay music filled the hall as a play ensued after a long and inspirational speech by our lord and saviour Encik Ganapathy. Then, the moment where we are all waiting for, a buffet for everyone.

Lovely.
Anyway, that pretty much sums up the celebration, with music drifting through the air...
Cheers,
Chua.
