Free Topic- What I Love Or Abhor About It

O.

Welcome back to another blog post folks. Today we're going to talk about Free Topic. Literally. For the second time in fact.

If you read my blog, sometime during last year, I've already talked about free topics and how it is either frustrating or fun to write a free topic. Since teacher hasn't replied the group yet, I might as well just wing this, again. Prepare for Free Topic 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Now, if you are a frequent reader of my blogs (thanks, idk why you wasting time but sure, why not eh?), you'll notice that most my free topics talk about Science, Philosophy, or History. Or all three at times. Sometimes its random stories that I like writing, e.g. Gaia's Tragedy. (if anyone is waiting for the next chapter, soz, its not going to work, too many plotholes.)

So, free topics. I love them. Because through free topics, I get to talk and introduce topics that are usually obscure to a normal person, like every one of us who are too busy studying and have no idea what hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia, the fear of long words. It's fun introducing weird ideas like Schrodinger's Cat, how our happiness baselines work, or why we feel bad and constantly overthink about negative thoughts. You get to explore new topics, while I get to talk about them. Win-win!

Either way, that's all for this week's blog post since I've talked about this before.

Have a nice holiday everyone.

Cheers,
Chua.

Writing a 10 word story

Welcome back folks. Sadly, it seems that third time isn't a charm. Oh well, back to basics. Anyway, I hope you had a good week. I'm sure many of you had written essays throughout your lifetime. Whether its an essay for school which is usually 200 ~ 400 words long, a story (length may vary) or even a thesis paper (thousands). Depending on your age and level of English education of course. Personal record, 13 thousand words in a story named Chrono Switch . I assume you already read the title and hence clicked on this post for... actually why did you clicked on this post? Either way, we were instructed to write a ten word story, with the word "spooky" being mandatory in the story. And with Halloween coming around the corner, I can see why they picked that specific word. I too, enjoy writing weird story that are outfitted with details and character development. So writing a ten word story is quite an interesting challenge. Coming up with something with a broad theme...

The Philosophy of Tetris

"I am the man who arranges the blocks, that continue to fall from up above..." I believe most of you of you know what Tetris is. Most of you are likely to have played it, or at least heard about it. Be it the charming 8-bit music, the satisfying beep after a line is completed, or just the blocks that fall into place one by one, filling the gaps, I"m sure that we all can agree upon the fact that Tetris is one of the best classic game we have ever played. While I was revisiting the game, trying to break another player's high score, I realize that, even in a simple game such as Tetris, which has the main goal of trying to get the best score you can through stacking blocks and aligning them, I can't help but think of the true meaning of Tetris. So today, let's explore the philosophy behind the Tetris. Keep in mind, that this is my opinion. Feel free to judge... constructively. First concept You don't have to be perfect to fit in Before we jump into...

Gaia's Tragedy, 1

E. I'm bored and I don't think anyone is going to read blogs any longer so I decided to write some stuff. Blogs discussing stuff will be back on next week lol if anyone reads this. --- Year 2077 Venus. Once thought inhabitable by the sapiens of Earth, now terra-formed into a habitable planets with cities hovering above the volcanic plains of Venus. Earth has long established contact with several alien groups from other galaxies, and now Venus, also known as the third home of the humans, turns into a stop for weary interstellar travelers. In the bar, many stop by to enjoy alcohol made with exotic goods, and to share stories while adventuring out in the vastness of space. One corner of the bar is such, filled with tales of tragedy and triumphs, hosted by an man named Larry. Larry Perkins. My crew and I got off the starship Nemesis after a long trip to the Andromeda galaxy, liberating planets claimed by rebels and exploring unknown worlds. Many of us wanted to rest, and m...
